Aguadilla RoofTop experience (ARTe)

The women staff were nice and helpful. However, the male manager and other male worker were incompetent and very rude. We asked to split the check and the male server was visibly pissed and threw the check book. If he couldn’t split it he could simply have said that. Update Thank you for your response, but I do want to clarify that our experience was not a misunderstanding. We arrived on time for our reservation and were told a table was being prepared. After waiting about 20 minutes, we were then told we had “lost” our table for being late, which was incorrect and had to be corrected by the host who originally checked us in. That alone set the tone. Once seated, we waited another 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. When we placed our order, basic service steps were missed—no plates for appetizers, and we had to ask for water multiple times before receiving it. When it was finally brought, we were given bottled water without being asked, despite other tables clearly having tap water available. The most disappointing part of the experience was at the end. We had already asked about splitting the check and were told it was fine. However, when we actually requested it, our server became visibly upset, threw the check on the table, and walked away. From our table, we could clearly see him go to the bar and speak negatively about the situation. We overlooked several of these issues throughout the visit, but the behavior at the end was unprofessional and ultimately what led to the low service rating. We’re not expecting perfection, but we do expect respectful and consistent service—especially when concerns are handled ahead of time. I hope this feedback is taken constructively.

We were headed to the rooftop, but unfortunately it started to rain and had to go inside. The rooftop would’ve been really nice and the inside was OK too.. I got the Beef, chicken and shrimp Mofongo, and my wife got the chicken Mofongo. Honestly, mine was far better.

Best thing about this place was the view from the rooftop. Everything else was mediocre at best. The whole experience was very underwhelming. I was pretty disappointed since there is so much incredible food in Aguadilla.
