in the last weekSantaella is one of those places you leave already knowing you’ll be back. Our server, Alexande, was great. He knew the menu, gave us a great recommendation with the quesito, and took care of us without hovering. I had the veal cheeks and my wife had the shrimp. Both were seriously good. The food was full of flavor, cooked right, and just came together. The drinks were excellent too. What I liked most was that everything was on point—the food, the drinks, the service, and the atmosphere. Nothing felt forced or overdone. It’s just a really good restaurant that knows what it’s doing. Santaella is definitely a special spot in San Juan. Alexande and the whole staff made the night a great experience. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Puerto Rico.

a week agoSome of the best food I've ever had in Puerto Rico. Definitely busy and a reservation only type restaurant though, so plan ahead. But the food is so good it's worth the effort.

a week agoChat recommended for decent food, service, local vibe—all good! Unfortunately, the “Not Touristy” feel went in the dumpster when presented with a tab total only (no order check) which turned out to include five bucks for an open bottle of tap water (as requested). That shade-of-Vegas corporate-feeling rip, though admittedly minor, was enough to dampen the experience.
