More of the same, nothing creative, it wasn't good, no quality or consistency. Destined to fail! The service lacks basic service etiquette. The place is beautiful, but it's a shame that what comes out of the kitchen is so rudimentary, basic, and lacks maturity in its execution. It seems like an amateur kitchen that simply repeats the preparation of a poorly designed menu without any supervision from experienced culinary professionals or chefs before serving it to diners. Basic! Would I return or recommend it? I doubt it, not until they change the food and improve the service.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Best Dining Experiences in San Juan Canvas Restaurant at Don Rafa Boutique Hotel was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in the San Juan and Condado area. From the atmosphere to the food and service, everything was exceptional. The filet mignon was perfectly prepared, the branzino was outstanding, and every appetizer we tried was excellent. You can tell there’s real attention to detail in the kitchen—from the quality of the ingredients to the presentation and flavors. A special shoutout to Geraldine, who made the experience even better. Her service was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. She took great care of us throughout the evening without ever making us feel rushed. If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience in San Juan, whether for a special occasion, date night, or simply an excellent dinner, Canvas deserves to be at the top of your list. Fantastic food, beautiful setting, and exceptional hospitality. We’ll absolutely be back.

Canvas exceeded expectations with the chef’s presentation and culinary talent. Visited with a large group and we all left happy & satisfied. Nothing beats great food, service and a million dollar view. The roasted pumpkin soup and tuna tar tar were Chefs Kiss!!
