Restaurants in Guaynabo

Where to eat in Guaynabo, from San Patricio to Mamey

Guaynabo is one of the best places in the San Juan metro area to eat well without heading into the capital. Within a few miles you’ll find restaurants led by well-known chefs, a family lechonera roasting pork since 1950, Italian trattorias, Korean barbecue, a steakhouse, wine and tapas bars, and cafés for a mid-morning brunch.

This page brings together the Guaynabo restaurants listed on Lanzavisión. The full list is below; first, a short guide by occasion.

Chef-driven cooking. Wilo Eatery & Bar is chef Wilo Benet’s Guaynabo home, serving international cuisine with Puerto Rican and Latin influences. La Faena works with island ingredients through chef Kevin García’s contemporary lens. And República, at Metro Office Park, blends international and Caribbean influences with cocktails and wine.

A taste of the island. El Rancho de Apa has kept the family lechonera tradition alive since 1950: roast pork, rice with pigeon peas, morcilla and longaniza to share.

Italian and Korean. Tavola Trattoria Local serves homemade Italian food and hides the Vendetta speakeasy inside for a nightcap; Piccolino Cucina Italiana focuses on handmade pasta, risotto and pizza. On Roosevelt Avenue, Kkogi Korean BBQ has you grill the meat at your table, with kimchi, bibimbap and dumplings on the side.

Steak, wine and tapas. Bottles is a steakhouse and American kitchen with a bar, group spaces and weekend brunch. SALÚ! Vinoteca Gourmet combines a wine bar, a tapas kitchen and a gourmet shop.

Casual and sports. Sito’s Burger Club is all about smash burgers; Believe Bar & Grill, in Frailes, pairs a bar with a grill; and El Foul Ball, in barrio Mamey, is the sports bar for smoked meats and cold beer.

Brunch. MIDA Café offers coffee, pastries, sandwiches and varied plates along the PR-2 corridor.
